Nowcomm is named an Approved Government G-Cloud 13 Framework Supplier of Cloud Software Services
Nowcomm is successful in its bid to be named as a supplier on G- Cloud 13 Lot 2: Cloud Software (SaaS) and as such will continue to deliver cloud services and support relating to cyber security, networks and collaboration through this framework.
Derby, Derbyshire, November 9th, 2022 – Nowcomm, – one of the highest certified Cisco Gold Providers (MSP) in the UK, proudly announced today that it is accepted and approved on the Government G-Cloud 13 Framework to deliver Cloud Services relating to cybersecurity, networks and collaboration.
The G-Cloud-13 Framework provides cloud hosting and software services, together with associated support services, to UK central government departments and all other public sector bodies. IT solutions and consulting providers must apply and be approved to be accepted onto this framework.
“The G-Cloud 13 Framework is fundamental for Nowcomm helping organisations on their digital transformation journey. The current, unstable economic climate means some public sector organisations may struggle with attempting to automate and digitalise more of their infrastructure using in-house resources. Moreover, as the demand for greater network bandwidth is increasing, so is the threat of cyber-attacks. Our security-first approach to hybrid work and networking enables us to deliver sustainable high-performance, functionality, and efficiency while reducing risk and increasing visibility. Government organisations can use this framework to simply procure our services,” comments James Baly, founder and Front Office Director, Nowcomm.
The UK Government G-Cloud is an initiative targeted at simplifying the procurement of IT services by UK public-sector bodies. The G-Cloud consists of a series of framework agreements with suppliers, from which public sector organisations can buy services on demand with payment options, removing the need to run a time consuming, full tender process. G-Cloud provides an online store that allows public sector bodies to search for services and conduct their own evaluation based on pre-packaged solutions.
The benefits of the G-Cloud framework are many and include:
- Access to multiple suppliers and flexible cloud services, including a high number of SMEs,
- Quick and easy route to market access to the latest cloud technology and innovation including:
- Cloud migration planning
- Set up and migration
- Hybrid working solutions
- Cyber Security solutions
- Ongoing support
The G-Cloud 13 agreement introduces the following changes from G-Cloud 12:
- Inclusion of the latest procurement policies, including social value and prompt payment
- Improved terms and conditions, with greater inclusion for the provision of day rate cloud support services
- Introduction of a fourth lot to complement Lot 1, Lot 2, and Lot 3 for further competition for Cloud Support Services for larger, more complex requirements.
These changes are now live (from 9th November) with G-Cloud 13 replacing G-Cloud 12. Nowcomm is proud to be able to continue to provide cloud hosting and software services, together with associated support services to the UK government departments and all other public sector bodies.
