Derby, Derbyshire, September 29, 2022 – A new girls only section of Gresley Rovers FC football team receives the backing from one of the highest certified Cisco Gold Providers (MSP) in the UK, Nowcomm.

Nowcom is a Derby business proud to be one of only an exclusive number of Cisco Partners in the UK to hold both Cisco Gold Partner and Master Collaboration status. It focuses on connectivity, collaboration and cybersecurity.

Today Nowcomm announced its support to help provide kits for the girls of the Gresley Rovers team, featuring as a sponsor on their shirts.

The girls’ only team has been running for three years and is aimed at girls from school reception age upwards. The team has recently signed to be a section of Gresley Rovers, an English football club from Church Gresley, Derbyshire. Gresley play in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands, playing its home games at the Moat Ground.

Nowcomm Front Office Director and Nowcomm co-founder commented James Baly: “We decided to support Gresley Rovers Girls FC as the club is not only a promising football team but also we want to encourage the growing enthusiasm for the sport among young girls, following England’s victory in the Euro 2022 final. This sponsorship further supports our wider empowering women in technology initiative.”

Simon Gara, who manages the team together with his daughter Olivia, added: “By Nowcomm supporting us we can hopefully inspire more girls to join the club and benefit from being active, building their confidence, making new long-lasting friendships and having lots of fun.”

The girls team launched its own social media account and is entering the under 12’s Derby League in September.
